Captain Crusher was a custom Dodge Dakota monster truck owned by KC's Fireworks and was driven by Billy Featherby, who made his public driving debut behind the wheel of Captain Crusher on January 21st, 2006, in Brisbane, QLD.
Captain Crusher was the result of a major sponsorship agreement between KC's Fireworks and the National Foods company. The deal, finalised in late 2005, would have National Food's Daily Juice Company brand displayed on the truck for 12 months.
The truck initially debuted under the name Monster Thirst in Tamworth, NSW, on November 5th, 2005. In the weeks following its debut, it was renamed to Captain Crusher and featured an enclosed back, debuting the new name in Adelaide, SA on December 28th, 2005. The truck ran in this configuration for most of 2006, with the prominent Daily Juice logos being phased out by the beginning of 2007 following the conclusion of the sponsorship deal.
Billy Featherby rolled the truck onto its side on February 8th, 2006, after attempting a 'cyclone' during a press demonstration at the Parklands Showgrounds on the Gold Coast. Resulting in $15,000 worth of body damage.
It was later re-constructed into Scooby Doo, which debuted on May 12th, 2007, on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.
