Lunatic USA initially started as the second Rocky Mountain Thunder in the United States. After being imported to Australia by Vic Butler in 1999, it was renamed to 'Lunatic', but the body remained largely unchanged aside from the name change (see the right image). It would later receive a new bold orange and blue paint scheme and was renamed to 'Lunatic USA' (see the left image). It continued to run the design until it was sold to Clive Featherby, who rebranded the truck into the Australian version of Calvin Carrington's 'The Rock' in 2001.
