KAOS was initially announced by the Monster Trucks W.A. team on August 11th 2020, and made its competition debut in late September of 2024. The team purchased a bare chassis from Zakk Marcovich and brought it back to their Western Australian-based headquarters in February 2023, where it would be worked on for over a year and a half.
The truck's shock absorbers, engine, axles and differential housings, among other components, were installed by Aaron Tuana and its body was designed by Jayce from Down Under Signs. The chassis never ran until it was converted into KAOS.
