The first Devil's Taxi made its debut in 2010 and was constructed completely in-house by Sam Xuereb. A competition to name the truck was hosted by the team, and Ron Kingsley won the competition with the name 'Devil's Taxi'. The truck was constructed with the intent of performing long-distance wheelies and previously held the record for the longest monster truck wheelie at 518ft (157.8m). It debuted a new look on the 8th of September 2015 (see bottom images) and still competes to this day, alongside Devil's Taxi 2 and the rest of the Monster Trucks Pty Ltd team.
